The current Edwardian House was built in 1873 as a Victorian Gentleman’s residence for a Mr William Thomas Beckett. It is set along a tree lined Avenue called Shakespeare Road (previously Beckett Avenue) in the “Poets” area of Bedford.
It has had many lives since then one of which was the popular Edwardian House Hotel for over 30 years.
Some years ago it was bought by the present owner, PDI Capital Ltd who turned this Victorian House into a high end student accommodation which combines contemporary facilities and antique furnishings.
